CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WEDDING RUN SHEET EXAMPLE

  • 6:00 pm – Function centre doors are open – Guests are seated
  • 6:30 pm – Grand Entry of the Bride & Groom
  • 6:45 pm – Entrée – (Good time for table photos with guests or photo booth etc.)
  • 7:30 pm – Main Course
  • 8:30 pm – DVD or Slide show any presentations
  • 8:45 pm SPEECHES
  1. Father of the Bride
  2. Father of the Groom
  3. Brides maids or Maid / Matron of honor
  4. Best man
  5. Groom
  • 9:30 pm Cutting of Cake Plus Official toast
  • 9: 40 pm BRIDAL WALTZ (Generally 2-3 songs here)
  • 9:50 pm DJ or band Plays
  • 10:20 pm Dessert and / or cake is served
  • 11:20 pm – Father Daughter Dance
  • 11:25 pm – Bouquet / Garter
  • 11:40 pm Farewell circle and or Followed by Archway & Exit.

** Considerations:

  1.  The number of guests will play an important role in how fast the venue can serve meals and reset & how long the farewell circle will take to complete.
  2. Speeches are based on approximately 7-9 min each
  3. Any other entertainment or presentations
  4. Cultural formalities or performances

TOO MANY SPEECHES IN YOUR TIME LINE? HERE IS A GREAT WAY TO DEAL WITH THAT;

Often 5 speeches that could potentially run over 10 minutes each, possibly telegrams or possibly messages, this will put your wedding at a standstill for almost an hour – sometimes longer. We have developed a slight change in the time line to not let speeches simply drag on. It’s a simple “Part 1 & Part 2 strategy” where speeches are divided in two sections where guests would be seated and attentive, thus allowing a smooth transition. The Entree Time & then at Dinner Time… see below:

      • Speech 4 -Best man
      • Speech 5 -Groom
